After studying applied arts to satisfy her hunger to learn about materials and their practical challenges, then training as a designer at the Orléans College of Art and Design, Janique decided to focus on a material as rich as it is modest: paper, exclusively white paper. An inexpensive material which allows for unlimited experimentation and mistakes by the hand trying to find its way.
Initially a designer of paper objects, she developed a keen interest in, and a particular aptitude for, staging and scenography. Her work gradually grew into more than just simple decoration, becoming a creation in its own right.
Focused on exploration and research, this responsive artist is at a defining moment in a creator’s life, with one foot rooted in filling orders, and the other in the weightlessness of a purely artistic vision.
