Yesterday saw the final of the 56th edition of the Taittinger Prize in Paris, with nine international candidates competing.
Louis Dupuy-Roudel, representing Sweden, won the trophy.
The candidates’ creations were submitted to the eyes and palates of a prestigious jury chaired by Éric Frechon and including Georgiana Viou, Dominique Crenn, Amandine Chaignot, Alexandre Gauthier, Ritz pastry chef François Perret and Meilleur Ouvrier de France Éric Briffard. Also present this year were young chef Tom Meyer and two previous winners of the ‘Taittinger’, Jan Smink (2023) and Charles Coulombeau (2020).
Originally from Lyon (France), Louis Dupuy-Roudel currently works in the Stockholm restaurant “Persona”, opened by Louis Cespedes, who was Sweden’s candidate for the Taittinger Prize two years ago and came second on the podium.
In second place this year is Kevin Vaubourg representing Switzerland (“Beau Rivage Palace” in Lausanne – 2 Michelin stars), followed in third place by Paul Guenot representing Belgium (“Ma langue sourit” in Moutfort – 2 Michelin stars).
